As a fellow martial artist, Debra is uniquely qualified to use her nutritional expertise in designing individual programmes that will not only make you look and feel healthier, but take into account the demands our sport places upon us.

Whether you want to boost your energy levels, feel healthier, dispel the myths around sports supplementation or simply lose weight; Debra is on hand to put together a tailor made solution for your needs.

Debra has qualifications in nutrition for weight management and sport and exercise recognised by REPS (Register of Exercise Professionals).
 

WEIGHT LOSS

The amount of weight you want to lose will influence the timeframe necessary to achieve your goals.  Whether you need a complete dietary overhaul, or simply require a few easy to implement ideas, our tailor-made programmes include recipes and support to help you on the path to life long weight management. 

-  This session will provide the framework for you to start on your weight loss goals.

Packages of 4, 8 and 12+ weeks are also available. 

BOOST ENERGY

Always tired, suffering afternoon slumps, mood swings; living on coffee, chocolate, fizzy drinks, to keep you going?  An energy imbalance is associated with unstable blood sugar levels – correct this naturally with sound nutrition using glycaemic load (GL).

-  Ideally a minimum of two consultations

SPORTS NUTRITION & SUPPLEMENT ADVICE

We dispel the myths and help you navigate the minefield of sports nutrition and supplementation.

- Confused about hydration - isotonic, hypertonic or hypotonic sports drinks - when do you need them and are they useful?

- Advice on ergogenic aids – creatine, glucosamine, chondroitin, carnitine, glutamine, whey protein, CoQ10, antioxidants, caffeine, energy gels – what role do they play in sports performance and do you need them?

HEALTH CHECK

Prevention is better than cure; something we all know, but something we rarely practice.  Have an annual check-up on your health and tailor nutrition to your lifestyle. 

- What are the benefits of organic foods?  Are the dietary reference values (DRV) sufficient or do you need supplements?  How do you minimise free radicals and boost antioxidants?  How do you reduce toxicity from environmental factors of everyday ‘city’ living?  When do you need prebiotics or probiotics?  What nutrition is appropriate for my current lifestage?

KB GRADING PACKAGE

Increased training prior to grading places additional demands on the body – ensuring optimal nutrition can contribute to enhanced performance.

Session 1:  Diet evaluation to ensure the optimum macronutrient content; is carbo-loading necessary; how much protein is required for muscle repair/growth; what is the ideal balance of essential fats omega 3 and 6?  Ensuring sufficient micronutrient balance of vitamins, including antioxidants and minerals, as well as optimal hydration, including electrolyte balance.

Session 2:  Follow up session one month later to include tailored sports supplementation advice.

FEES

- £49 for the first 1 hour session

- £25 for subsequent sessions
