Being fired up about something can be both a negative and positive experience. At KB Fitness, it is all about the positive aspect.

Our Chief Instructor, Kelly Bunyan, has been training in the martial arts for 35+ years! 

She is renowned for her passion - literally 1000s of her students have claimed over the years that her enthusiasm is infectious.

In this image, you can see that the enthusiasm, passion and fire translates into an incredible roar!

The roar can look ominous, but it is quite the opposite. Instead, it is telling of the love that Kelly has for the martial arts and her students. 

 

Kelly says: "I teach martial arts to enable others to excel. I care about every single member's progress, whether they are taught by me directly, or indirectly. 

The photos reveal how much my school means to me. I literally roar when I'm encouraging them in the final moments of their gradings, or firing them up to be the fastest, sharpest they have ever been. In a unique way, I push my students to reach new heights and combined, we reach a new level of pride. 

The martial arts move me, I still scream, "phwooarrrrrr," (never been able to spell that noise that comes out of me) when they throw a sharp kick or punch."

SPARRING THRILL

Martial arts training has many different aspects, and different methods of delivering the traditional teachings that are passed down from master to student. Of these aspects, one of the most popular amongst KB members is sparring, which is fighting in a controlled manner. Sparring entails kicking, punching and blocking work with a partner, whilst wearing protective equipment.

NEVER DOUBT YOURSELF

Martial arts training requires focus, resilience, discipline and patience. Progression takes time, and can at times be challenging. In a world where negative thoughts may be the norm, where it may be easier to give up than persevere, KB Fitness’ martial arts classes London teach KB members to keep fighting and that, with practise, there is nothing they can’t master.
