What with lockdowns stopping people gathering, the vast majority of instructors in the fitness industry transferred their skill to the virtual realm. Previously, most professionals were only offering their classes in person.

Our school was no exception. KB Fitness's Chief Instructor, Kelly Bunyan, acknowledged that she had not ever contemplated moving the classes online:

"It just wasn't on my radar. Considering I had been teaching in a dojo since 1998, first in Borehamwood, then London, I had never felt the need to embrace the technology to teach online."

How quickly we had to adapt, in order to provide a platform to continue to train.

Thankfully we were able to turn things around within a day! The internet is now bursting at the seams with every type of fitness class.

Perhaps as a result, a newer line of advertising has evolved, where there is a distinction between pre-recorded and live classes, accentuating the point that the instructor is present in real time. No doubt market research has proven that it is more appealing and engaging.

At KB Fitness, we offer both options. As our classes have been archived for almost a year now, our members can train at a time that is more convenient to them, outside of the live class times. Or, if their priority is to connect with other training peers, receive instant feedback and guidance, they can attend the live sessions.

Our instructors certainly provide hands-on, personalised instruction - we pride ourselves on knowing every member's name, repeatedly asking all who train with us what their training goals are, to ensure everybody stays motivated. Through 1-2-1 WhatsApp instruction, Kelly (KB) ensures that our members become the best martial artists they can be.

Senior Instructor, Dee Terret, adds:

"There are a copious number of benefits to training online. First and foremost, we were able to reach ex-students who no longer reside in London, where our physical classes are based, as well as recruiting new people from outside of London.

Plus, we're all sharing the experience from the comfort of our own home. Consequently, the shower and food are available minutes after class. The commute is currently not required."

People often ask what is the best martial art. Some instructors will proudly tell you that their style is best. Kelly Bunyan (KB), Chief Instructor at our London Kickboxing classes, Kung Fu and Self Defence classes London would never claim anything of the sort. Instead, she would state the following:

Fitness studio KB Fitness is showing businesses the benefits of self defence for their employees. Employers have been taking advantage of the studio's Self Defence Team Building and Corporate Self Defence Lessons to build employee wellness and are seeing positive results.

Another slam dunk! KB Kickboxing Graders set a goal and achieved it on KB Sunday. So many new kickboxing beginners, bored of the same routine, found our kickboxing class, got hooked and strived for greater heights in life. With Chief Instructor, Kelly KB's guidance, they excelled and soared on the day.

Our members suggest you join KB Fitness to … “get fit, recharge, release endorphins, look forward to exercise, learn something new, have a great work-life balance, set goals, be addicted to boosting your well-being.” Jane mentions that the teaching team cares, it’s true, we really do.
