For a second time, IT IS TIME TO RETURN TO OUR LONDON KICKBOXING DOJO!!!! The excitement is literally off the scale. Particularly as we are allowed to hit the pads again. Contrary to the accompanying video, we can ki-ai (shout) as well - both striking inanimate objects and exhaling loudly (not facing each other) are great stress-relievers.

After being locked down for 5 months, we are all itching to return to what we do best, offering martial arts classes in London.

Kelly Bunyan said: "Teaching martial arts online has been great in its own right, and with a positive mindset, we have made the most of it. However, I choose the old-fashioned approach of being in the dojo over the digital age all day long."

With that in mind, Kelly is more than ready to return to the dojo. She added:

"My wings are clipped when teaching martial arts at home; I don't have as much space. I am literally pining to roar and SOAR alongside my students! It is where I belong. THE ENERGY we are going to create when we ki-ai again is going to be stratospheric"

Our members are feeling the same way; we are all looking forward to reconnecting in the way we know, love and prefer. Air work is great, but connecting with a pad or person adds so much more weight to the kickboxing workout experience. 

As you can see in the video above, our London martial arts dojo is TOP LEVEL plush. We all love it. Combining a sprung floor with mirrors, high ceilings, excellent instructors and very friendly training peers, it’s a stunning environment to be training in. It’s important to point out too, that it’s COVID-19 guidance compliant.

During this tumultuous year, our school has refused to be derailed; in fact we're bouncing back with full force. There is a veritable appetite for training in the marital arts with other like-minded people; we’re inundated with requests to join our school.

After over one year without partner work, we expect the first classes to be explosive as the synchronised hitting of pads resounds in our venue.  W

Martial arts training has many different aspects, and different methods of delivering the traditional teachings that are passed down from master to student. Of these aspects, one of the most popular amongst KB members is sparring, which is fighting in a controlled manner. Sparring entails kicking, punching and blocking work with a partner, whilst wearing protective equipment.




Martial arts training requires focus, resilience, discipline and patience. Progression takes time, and can at times be challenging. In a world where negative thoughts may be the norm, where it may be easier to give up than persevere, KB Fitness’ martial arts classes London teach KB members to keep fighting and that, with practise, there is nothing they can’t master.




Inspired by one of our YouTube videos, KB members shared what they have gained from their KB Fitness training by completing the sentence “KB has made me…” in the school’s WhatsApp group.
