KB BELTS GALORE!

KB BELTS GALORE!

01/04/2024

Chief Instructor Kelly Bunyan (KB) recently organised a KB Kickboxing White Belt Grading social like no other. Breaking away from tradition, KB members wore not only their new white belts, but every belt they had earned throughout their martial arts journey. This fun twist on the usual post-grading celebration meant members wearing up to seven different belts all at the same time – a very colourful display!

The event, held in the local pub, saw students from all levels gathering to celebrate the grading, as well as connect and share time together with their peers and the KB teaching team. One of the highlights of the evening was the sight of several KB members with an amazing seven belts adorning their waist (or chest, for those who were more creative in their choice of placement) a testament to years of dedication and perseverance in martial

arts training.

"It was truly a sight to behold," said Kelly (KB). "Our Grading Socials are always wonderful but this one was even more special: seeing everyone proudly displaying their belts from every stage of their journey added an extra layer of inspiration and motivation for our students."

Beyond the visual spectacle, the event served as a reminder of the values that lie at the heart of martial arts: discipline, resilience, and continuous self-improvement. Participants shared stories of their personal journeys, reflecting on the challenges they had overcome and the lessons they had learned along the way.

For beginners such as Surbhi and Brenda, who did their first ever KB Kickboxing grading on the day, the event was a source of encouragement and motivation as they embarked on their own martial arts journey. "Seeing the progression of belts laid out before me was incredibly inspiring," said Brenda. "It reminded me that every step of the journey is worth celebrating, and that with dedication and perseverance, anything is possible."

As the evening drew to a close, participants left with a renewed sense of purpose and determination, eager to continue their training and progress along their martial arts path. The latest KB White Belt Grading Social may have been a departure from tradition, but it undoubtedly left a lasting impression, reaffirming the bonds of the KB community and the spirit of excellence that defines KB Fitness.

With belts worn proudly and spirits high, the event served as a powerful reminder for our students that in the world of martial arts, the journey is just as important as the destination.
