Not everybody has a martial artist within them, but unless you give a free class a go, you might not ever know if you do.

So many people have been inspired to get involved in the martial arts by Bruce Lee or latterly, Cobra Kai and the like. There is something appealing about learning cool moves, enabling you to unleash your inner martial artist. 

Everybody at KB Fitness shares a healthy addiction to feeling the KB high. If you're looking for a new way to work out, training in the martial arts is a great option.

Kelly Bunyan, our Chief Instructor, writes a different lesson plan every week, to feed our members' addiction; the lessons are never predictable nor repetitive.

When our members are asked why they are so dedicated to training, they find that the answer is not so easily conveyed to those who have not yet tried a martial arts class. Loved ones are supportive, but only training peers who have also been bitten by the bug truly 'get' why they are so passionate about the martial artists.

Kelly Fiestas Navas, a Purple Belt, confirms this: 

'Most people think it’s the same as going to a gym. Friends have even invited me to go to their gyms. I have tried it, but it was never a satisfying experience. There’s no sense of achievement and progress when training at a gym. I know some people train for fitness, but although that is a great benefit of training, it was never one of my reasons. There’s nothing like the experience of setting a goal and working hard to achieve it, and the exhilaration when you do achieve it. That kind of feeling is amazing. I love that I can share all that with my training peers and that we celebrate each other’s achievements.'

When you are truly hooked, training in the martial arts becomes a way of life, due to the fact that it changes every aspect of your life for the better.  Offering much more than just punches and kicks, the martial arts boost confidence and self-esteem, whilst getting you to a whole new level of fitness.

Training in a gym will certainly get you fit, but it will not provide you with the same satisfaction and fire. Our school is so welcoming; the sense of camaraderie between members is palpable.

KB ELITE SQUAD

KB Fitness members who have achieved both the KB Kickboxing Black Belt and KB Kung Fu Black Sash are part of the ‘KB Elite Squad’. These dedicated students have achieved this excellent standard under the tutelage of Chief Instructor Kelly Bunyan (KB).

KB BELTS GALORE!

Chief Instructor Kelly Bunyan (KB) recently organised a KB Kickboxing White Belt Grading social like no other. Breaking away from tradition, KB members wore not only their new white belts, but every belt they had earned throughout their martial arts journey. This fun twist on the usual post-grading celebration meant members wearing up to seven different belts all at the same time – a very colourful display!

WHY GRADE?
