In order to encourage KB members to be fully engaged with their training, KB Fitness checks in with each student regularly, as well as sending videos encompassing stretching advice, weights training, self-defence, kick and punch tutorials, kick and punch challenges, among many others.

The result is that newer members are getting acclimated to training at home as well as in the dojo early on, helping them to increase their fitness and progress more quickly.

This is what Cindy had to say about her KB Kickboxing training after 4 weeks with KB Fitness:

“I can feel myself gently unfolding. My muscles are unlocking, and I feel

more confident about the moves. As I am a visual learner, I play the techniques over and over again in my mind and the videos are priceless. I get to see things in minute detail and pick up on things I either don’t understand or miss out myself - plus they reinforce my actual learning. I think KB instructors are all brilliant and I really appreciated the one to one attention I get at the KB Kickboxing and KB Self Defence classes.”

As Cindy mentions, the videos are indeed a great tool for all KB members to replay, rewind and pause as many times as they want, in order to get more and more familiar with the techniques.
Cindy talks a little about the benefits of KB Kickboxing she’s already noticed: “The training is increasing my sense of wellbeing as I move around and I am becoming more aware of my surroundings, visually and otherwise. At some point, I know I will be able to transfer the energy generated in my training to my mental application in other fields. I can’t imagine why I did not opt for kickboxing years ago! Having the time of my life!”

This is the case for many other KB Fitness members, who feel that KB’s martial arts classes have changed the way they approach their fitness, and how much they invest in their wellbeing.

By having a team of instructors who care about their progress and are fully involved in achieving their goals, they feel supported, more confident and much more invested in their own progress.

“Thank you for these regular checks ins. I absolutely love the classes, always looking forward to the next one! I don’t have any favourite move yet, so far I’m just absorbing the combinations and techniques. But it’s always good to know I have so much support to help me to improve,” said Dori after her second week of training Kickboxing at KB.

Martial arts training has many different aspects, and different methods of delivering the traditional teachings that are passed down from master to student. Of these aspects, one of the most popular amongst KB members is sparring, which is fighting in a controlled manner. Sparring entails kicking, punching and blocking work with a partner, whilst wearing protective equipment.

Martial arts training requires focus, resilience, discipline and patience. Progression takes time, and can at times be challenging. In a world where negative thoughts may be the norm, where it may be easier to give up than persevere, KB Fitness’ martial arts classes London teach KB members to keep fighting and that, with practise, there is nothing they can’t master.

Inspired by one of our YouTube videos, KB members shared what they have gained from their KB Fitness training by completing the sentence “KB has made me…” in the school’s WhatsApp group.

Our members suggest you join KB Fitness to … “get fit, recharge, release endorphins, look forward to exercise, learn something new, have a great work-life balance, set goals, be addicted to boosting your well-being.” Jane mentions that the teaching team cares, it’s true, we really do.
